Description

Vitamin E T8 Complete

Kala Health Vitamin E T8 Complete is part of a new and unique line of high-dose vitamin E products that Kala Health has developed. This line is unrivaled in the world, and aims to combine in one capsule all of the eight forms of vitamin E that mother nature has to offer us. There are four forms in nature that belong to the family of tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta) and four forms that belong to the family of tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta).

Dietary supplements usually only use tocopherol, which is known as a strong, fat-soluble antioxidant. There is increasing evidence that other tocopherols (such as gamma-tocopherol) also play an important role in health. In recent years it has become clear that tocotrienols also have a strong influence on health. It is therefore a logical step for us to combine tocopherols and tocotrienols in different amounts, with maximum strength combinations for each target group.

The schedule below shows which vitamin E formulas with different combinations and of different strengths we have developed:

What is Vitamin E?

Vitamin E is an essential, fat-soluble vitamin. Our body does not produce vitamin E itself. Vitamin E must be taken through food or dietary supplements. Both tocopherol and tocotrienol occur in nature. Rich sources of tocopherol are vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, (fatty) fish, whole grains, some vegetables (such as spinach) and fruits. Tocotrienol is mainly found in grains such as rice, barley, wheat and rye. A rich source of tocotrienol is palm oil.

The Quality of Vitamin E

Vitamin E is extracted from various vegetable oils. Tocopherols are usually extracted from sunflower oil and soybean oil, while palm oil is the main source of tocotrienols. The extraction of these raw materials involves quite a few issues:

It is important that the vegetable oil comes from clean and, above all, sustainable cultivation. This is especially the case with palm oil. It is known that a lot of virgin forest is being lost worldwide at the expense of palm oil plantations. A number of countries are at the forefront of making palm oil cultivation more sustainable and certifying it, and it is important to only source palm oil from such sustainable and certified farms.

Much oil is heated, processed and refined to optimize yields. However, this can produce toxic substances, some of which are notorious Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), Glycidyl Fatty Acid Esters (GEs) and Chlorinated Paraffins (GPs). also almost always work with organic solvents, of which residues can remain behind.

It is our experience that hardly any supplier of vitamin E dietary supplements pays attention to this. But we do! Sustainability and quality is of the utmost importance to us, and we are committed to making this a reality for all the oils we use in our vitamin E formulas:

  • All oils rich in tocotrienols come from sustainably certified farms
  • All the oils we use are not heated, processed or refined. The tocopherols and tocotrienols are extracted from the oil through a process called Molecular Distillation, at high pressure and low temperature. As a result, any contaminants are left behind, and no toxic substances such as PAHs, GEs and GPs are created, while no organic solvents are used.
  • Every batch of oil we use is tested in advance for the absence of PAHs and heavy metals by an independent and renowned laboratory in the Netherlands. We only use the oil after the laboratory has confirmed that no such contaminants have been found (below the lowest possible detection value).
  • All test reports and certificates are available for viewing.

In this way we can guarantee to offer the most concentrated formulas of vitamin E of the highest quality. We want to be completely transparent in how we do this, for whoever wants this?

What is Vitamin E good for?

Different tocopherols and all tocotrienols have a number of positive influences on the body, which cannot be mentioned here. There is one health claim that is allowed by the European authorities:

  • Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative damage

Today, we are all exposed to unwanted external influences, especially through stress and pollution of our environment. Our body can therefore use some extra support in the form of a strong antioxidant.

NB: EU legislation prohibits us from providing more information here about the application of vitamin E. And of course we comply with the legislation. If you want to know more, you can call us during office hours on 070-3450290.

What is the Recommended Dosage?

Most vitamin E formulas contain up to 400 IU, supplied by alpha-tocopherol alone. Although such a formula seems very strong, it is of little use in practice. Much more important is that the other tocopherols are also present in sufficient quantities, and especially the tocotrienols. A general rule of thumb is therefore: it is not the IUs that determine how strong a vitamin E formula is, but the milligrams of the various forms of vitamin E.

A good maintenance dose is 50 mg of mixed tocotrienols per day, while the mixed tocopherols can vary as needed. For therapeutic purposes, the recommended amount of tocotrienols can be up to 100 – 200 mg per day.

With regard to this formula Vitamin E T8 Complete, the recommended dosage for adults is one capsule per day, unless otherwise advised. Because vitamin E is fat soluble, it is best to take the capsule during a meal.

Superior Uptake

The absorption of vitamin E by the body is improved by taking the capsules together with a fatty meal. The producer of the tocotrienols in this vitamin E complex has succeeded in improving absorption by developing a patented ‘self-emulsifying delivery’ system

This system ensures that fat-soluble nutrients form small globules (’emulsions’) in the gastrointestinal tract on their own. These fat globules are absorbed quickly and efficiently. Human volunteer studies have shown that this system generally significantly improves the absorption of all individual tocotrienols,

The tocopherols also benefit from this: both tocopherols and tocotrienols are mixed in one capsule and the self-emulsifying delivery system works for all fat-soluble ingredients. That is why this formula can rightly be called a ‘Vitamin E T8 formula with greatly improved absorption’.
